POSITIVE PEER RELATIONSHIPS ARE CRITICAL FOR HEALTHY SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT

Our research focuses on how young children come to understand their social world. Our mission is to empower educators, parents/caregivers, and families/whānau in fostering young children’s social relationships by combining empirical knowledge with practical strategies. Our studies explore factors that influence young children’s use of positive and negative behaviours in the hope that these discoveries will add to developmental literature and we can continue to improve the quality of young children’s social worlds.
