December Te Wānanga Kaimahi | Staff Forum updates

The next Te Wānanga Kaimahi | Staff Forum is on 10 December. There’s a meeting request in your Outlook calendar – please accept or decline this for catering purposes, before 3 December.

Catering is by Bacon Brothers, who were a huge success when they catered our first Te Wānanga Kaimahi | Staff forum way back in 2019. They offer gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options (email events@canterbury.ac.nz if you have any other dietary requirements).

To keep costs down, drinks won’t be supplied, so please bring a water bottle with you and fill it at our water station.
You can ask questions at the staff forum or you can submit them prior to the forum on Sli.do. Once the forum starts, submitting and rating questions on Sli.do will close.

The Sli.do link is here.

Any questions not answered during the presentations or in the Q&A session will be addressed afterwards and posted to the Intranet page, as for previous forums.

The presentations are:
• Celebrating success and achievements, with Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic | Tumu Tuarua Akoranga Professor Catherine Moran and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research | Tumu Tuarua Rangahau Professor Ian Wright
• Overview of 2020 and looking forward to 2021, with Vice-Chancellor | Tumu Whakarae Professor Cheryl de la Rey
• Q&A session

We are fortunate to be able to gather in person, but please do observe the hygiene standards we are now all familiar with (wash your hands frequently, cough into your elbow), use the Covid contact tracing app and scan into each location you visit, and please stay home if you feel unwell.

A video of Te Wānanga Kaimahi | Staff Forum will also be available on the Intranet page after the event.

See you there!
UC Communications and Events team.

    1. Kia or Clare,
Questions can be submitted prior to the forum via Sli.do. Submitting and rating questions will close at the beginning of the forum. The Senior Leadership team will take questions from the audience first and will then address the top-rated questions in Sli.do, that haven’t been answered during the presentations. Any questions not answered in the time allocated will be addressed later and posted to the Intranet page, as for previous forums.
