The Mentemia Wellbeing App is now live

Mentemia is a wellbeing-focused phone app that UC has made available to all staff and students as another way of supporting wellbeing, nurturing staff and helping students to thrive.

Mentemia can help you figure out the simple things you can do on a daily basis to feel happier and less stressed, plus build resilience and cope better with life’s stressors. All of the tools and resources have been developed with a team of psychologists and experts, and are backed by evidence and scientific research.

Free Webinar to Launch Mentemia – 26 May

To introduce Mentemia to staff, UC is hosting a webinar on Wednesday 26 May at 12pm – 12.30pm.

Join Mentemia’s health psychology specialist Dr Fiona Crichton for a live online event to find out more about the 6 Pillars of Mental Wellbeing model and the methodology behind Mentemia. Bring your questions for the live Q&A session following a 20 minute video.

Dr Fiona Crichton is experienced in designing effective programmes to improve health behaviour and wellbeing and has a breadth of knowledge about the factors that influence psychological wellbeing and adaptive behaviour change.

You can download the app from your phone’s app store. Just search for ‘Mentemia’.

Once you have downloaded the app, create an account using your staff email address. You will be guided to verify your account to get access to the full range of content and features. It’s super easy and only takes a few steps – if you get stuck, you can find out more information on UC’s Wellbeing Hub or the Mentemia Help Centre.

Be assured that your use of the app is confidential and no personal information or data will be shared with the University of Canterbury.
