UC Library is running a Visualise Your Thesis competition for postgraduate research students with prizes of up to $1000 in the local competition and AUD$5,000 in the international competition.
Designed to develop research students’ digital communication skills, entrants create an audio-visual presentation that explain their research project to a general audience in just 60 seconds.
We have organised a lot of support for students in developing the necessary skills, including workshops on finding copyright-friendly media, making a PowerPoint video, storytelling with words and making a video using Apple iMovie. We’ll also be offering drop-in sessions where students can ask questions over a cup of tea or coffee as well as meet other research students.
Students studying overseas are encouraged to enter, with all workshops and drop-in sessions also being offered via Zoom. Entries open on the 3 May 2021 and close on 13 June 2021. Prize-winners will be announced on Friday 16 July 2021.
Please encourage your students to enter and if you have any questions, please contact email@example.com.
