Golden Key is the world’s largest collegiate honour society with a mission to enable members to realise their potential through the advancement of Academics, Leadership and Service. Membership into the society is by invitation only and applies to the top-performing 15% of all students, based solely on academic achievement. Membership has grown to a network of over 2 million members from more than 190 countries.
The University of Canterbury chapter of Golden Key (UCGK) is a student run club that is affiliated with the UCSA. The executive team of UCGK is made up of UC students who are members of Golden Key and work to host events that benefit its members and the wider community. The UC chapter undertakes a variety of events throughout the academic year, which range from community service activities to networking events. UCGK’s marquee event for the year is a mentorship programme, which is designed and run by UC students as an ongoing community service activity for local middle school students.
