Top 3 reasons to try Small Group Training, especially if you think you don’t like exercise

Our small group training courses are open for enrolment right now.  Why would you want to enrol in one, you ask?  Great question.  


1. Big enough to be fun, small enough to be quality 

Get the vibe of a group training session, but the benefits of a one-on-one session, at a much lower price point!  It can cost $60-80 for most Personal Trainers out there, whilst  SGT courses with the RecCentre average between $4 and $10 per session.  Whilst it’s true it’s harder to hide in a small class, it’s also true it’s harder to hide in a small class!  That means you’ll get expert assistance when you need it.  

2.  There’s an end point

Got commitment issues? Our courses run for five weeks, and you attend once per week.  (The exception is bootcamp, which is twice a week, because, well, that’s just what you do).    So that’s only five sessions (10 for bootcamp) you need to commit to.  Who knows, at the end of five weeks, you might even find you enjoy it, and perhaps even join one of our regular group fitness classes. Go on, you’re worth it. 

3.  Self-care and mental health

It can be hard to connect with others in a big campus, where there are a lot of online options.   Making the effort to attend each week, with the same group of people is an opportunity to do just that, sharing a common goal as you learn new skills together through movement.   And boom, that’s three ways to wellbeing and improving your mental health right there… learn, connect and move!
