Vehicle Access and Parking Prohibited – All Grass Areas

Facilities Management would like to remind all students that travel and/or parking of vehicles (including bikes) is prohibited on all grass areas across the UC Campus over the winter months. This restriction encompasses Ilam Campus, Dovedale Campus and Ilam fields.

This reminder is prompted by the recent heavy rain and flooding that has waterlogged the UC grounds earlier than is usual for winter.

Please refer any enquiries to fmassist@canterbury.ac.nz.

Thank you for your support in protecting UC grounds conditions.

Dormer Construction will commence works on the Creyke/Maidstone/Ilam Roads intersection in approximately one month’s time. The intersection works are expected to take approximately four (4) weeks to complete, with ongoing works expected on Maidstone Road until mid-2026.

Please remain aware of works in progress and drive carefully and with patience through the works areas.
