Kia ora,
Today the government announced a change to the Covid-19 Protection Framework. More information on the changes can be found on the Unite against Covid-19 website.
In response, the University Council will review the University’s policy and mandate-related procedures with any changes being communicated to students and staff by the end of next week.
In the meantime, things at UC remain the same…
Face masks
Students, staff and visitors must wear a surgical face mask indoors in public areas, and during teaching and learning – unless you have an exemption. Wearing a properly fitted three layered mask (e.g. the blue medical masks) is the single most important safety measure during Phase 3.
While not mandatory it is strongly recommended you wear a mask while moving around outdoors.
Red status / UC Vaccination Policy
You can only enter University campuses and take part in face-to-face University activities if you have a My Vaccine Pass.
Stay home if sick and self-report
You can access all your lectures and course materials online through AKO | LEARN.
If you’re waiting for the results of a Covid-19 test or you are a positive case, you will need to self-isolate immediately. Please let us know so we can support you.
Many of you will receive this while home isolating because of Covid cases. At UC we value manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and tiakitanga. This has been an incredibly tough time, please continue to take care of yourselves and your mates.
Ngā mihi nui
