Boxing, Bootcamp, Ballet, Hip Hop and Yoga Play – SGT kicks off next week!

Would you like to try something new in your fitness plan?  What about learning a new skill or meeting some new people?   Small Group Training (SGT) is back for 2022, and we start next week!

Why Small Group Training?
  • Sometimes a big group can be overwhelming, so having a small group of people – the same ones each week – might be better for you
  • When learning a new skill, having a smaller group means you can get more personalised feedback, so you can improve faster
  • If the skill is more advanced, then it’s even safer for you
  • Accountability!  Sometimes paying for your weekly session is enough to make you turn up, even when you don’t want to!
What’s on offer?

Head to our Small Group Training pages for all the information, including dates, times and costs.  We keep our costs super low, just a fraction of what you’d pay elsewhere, but still with high quality instructors.  What better way to try something new?

All courses commence the week beginning Monday 7th March, and run for FIVE weeks. So, the last week of course is also the last week of term.   Don’t delay – register for your spot (spaces are limited) by calling or visiting reception  – payment must be made at time of booking.

Casual Hoops available at the RecCentre from Monday 28th Feb

We are excited to open the RecCentre doors for some casual basketball sessions from Monday 28th February, exclusively for members.    Here’s what you need to know:

  • Bookings Essential via the Rec&Sport app (no exceptions)
  • Members only – sorry, no casuals. Make sure you have your RecCentre membership sorted.
  • We’re really sorry, but our staff at the RecCentre location won’t have the technology on site to be able to help you if you turn up without a membership connected to your Rec&Sport app account.   So make sure you get onto that as soon as possible – remember it can take up to 48hrs to activate.
  • Bring a towel, Photo ID and your own water bottle
  • We’ll also need to scan your vaccine pass every visit
  • Toilets are outside by K1, and you’ll find a tap there as well
  • There are two sessions a day, each for 1hour and 45mins
  • We’ll need you to vacate at the end of your session, so we can safely check-in the members for the next session
  • We’d appreciate it if you only booked 1 session a day, so that others can have some court time.
  • If there is space available in the 2nd session, then you’re welcome to book in again
  • We’ll have basketballs available to borrow
  • Sorry, we don’t have other sports just yet – our equipment is not accessible yet!  We hope to have that rectified soon.
Session Times

Monday – Friday   5pm – 6.45pm; 7pm – 8.45pm
Saturday/Sunday  1pm – 2.45pm; 3pm – 4.45pm

We will keep an eye on popularity and capacity, and we will adjust these times if needed.  Keep an eye on the app, as we will update in there directly.

Don’t forget, our social sport leagues start March 7th.  Most leagues are in the afternoon, with some in the evenings.  Get yourself a team together, or join our singles team.  More info on our social sport pages.

Have a great weekend and we’ll see you soon!
