If you’re looking for a crew to run with, look no further!  UC Rec&Sport offers Run Canterbury – running buddies and expert running advice and programmes for each Semester.

Pack Runs – because it’s more fun in groups 

We run twice weekly as a pack, leaving from the UC Campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5.15pm.   Running with others can help provide accountability, helping you stay motivated.  You also get to have chats before and after, making new connections with others on the same vibe as you.  We also take trips around Christchurch, to run some new trails.  We offer at least three ability levels, each with their own pack leader, so you can find a group at the same pace, so you can be comfortable – but not too comfortable! 

Training with a purpose 

We usually write programmes for a specific event, like Christchurch or Hanmer Half marathon.  At the moment, our usual suspects have been cancelled, but that doesn’t mean we stop running!  Instead, we will build a base together and choose an event, once they start being announced.   You’ll still get a programme to follow, so you can clock up the km’s in-between pack runs, and not fall behind! 

Lots of wraparounds 

Successful running is more than just hitting the pavement and counting distance.  Its about recovery, nutrition and the mental game.  See the full package details , with motivational emails, online support group and seminars.   Starting at just $95 for a 14week package for UC Students (did we mention the free running shirt for first-timers?) this group is great value for money, and certain to provide you with the best set-up for success!
