There’s still time to enrol in a Summer School course.
There are over 100 undergraduate and postgraduate courses available, ranging from Biology to Te Reo, and from Economics to Statistics.
Summer study is a great way to shorten the time it takes to complete your degree, retake a course you failed during the year, spread your workload or pick up a prerequisite course – while still having time to make the most of the long summer days.
Effective January 1, 2019 the University of Canterbury | Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha (UC) Administration Fee applicable to all new and returning students, together with the Prompt Payment Discount, will be removed from UC’s Enrolment Offer.
A Late Enrolment Fee ($125) will now be invoiced to students who do not accept their Enrolment Offer and pay their fees by the start date of their programme.

Right now you’re making many important decisions, including whether to change or withdraw from courses.
Make sure you build these final dates to make enrolment changes and withdrawals into your planning.
- The last date to make changes to your enrolment or withdraw with a full refund from Semester 1 courses that start Monday 19 February 2018 is Friday 2 March.
- For full-year courses, the final date to withdraw with a full refund is Friday 9 March. The University is unable to make any refunds after this date.
- NOTE: If you do not withdraw by 2 March your future entitlement to fees-free will be affected.
