Enrolment fee changes for 2019

Effective January 1, 2019 the University of Canterbury | Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha (UC) Administration Fee applicable to all new and returning students, together with the Prompt Payment Discount, will be removed from UC’s Enrolment Offer.

A Late Enrolment Fee ($125) will now be invoiced to students who do not accept their Enrolment Offer and pay their fees by the start date of their programme.

Parking reminder!

Be careful when parking around the streets surrounding campus! On many of the surrounding streets, especially on the Clyde Rd side of University, the City Council bans parking from March-November. Don’t get caught out and ticketed by parking on one of these streets!

If you do want to purchase a parking permit then these are still available from the UC Security office. The charges for a permit are as follows:

If you don’t want to commit to a permit you can buy a daily coupon, or use pay and display.

Are you starting to panic after realising just how much of a hit your bank balance has taken over this summer? Boy, those nights out on the town, and your new years away really have added up…
And you still need to pay for university fees, books, and a parking permit! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Just chill out my friend, you can always apply for scholarships as a financial supplement.  Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of different factors including: ethnicity, academic achievement, sporting excellence, disabilities and financial hardship.
