Unilife ‘Lunch for Locals’

Kia Ora!

My name is Saranya and I’m a part of a wonderful programme called UniLife. I’m a student leader (mentor) for UniLife, and can’t hide my excitement to share this programme with you!

UniLife is a non-residential hall programme run for all first-year undergraduate students who do not live in the halls. Not only does UniLife involve heaps of social activities and fun-packed events, but it also provides mentoring and social support to all first-year students registered under the programme.

Last year we organized events such as movie nights, quizzes, and games nights, as well as off campus trips including an escape room, bowling, pole exercise, and more! All the events are paid for – all you have to do is register by submitting an online form, and you’re good to go! We even have a group for students aged 25+!

You will be able to find us on the UC website, under Support Services (here). You can also head over to the Forestry Building and chat to the Student Experience Team to find out more!

Lunch for Locals
This is our first event of the year, which will be held on the 14th of February! There will be a small presentation to take you through the programme, as well as the chance to meet our student leaders, who will be available for a chat to answer any of your questions. Register here!

I hope to see all of your fresh faces at this event and collaborate with you all throughout this year! The entire UniLife team is excited to help make your first year memorable, so make sure you register and come along to the Okeover on Friday to have a yarn over some delicious food!
