Facilities Management (FM) advise that Bridge No 10, which leads to the Recreation Centre, will be closed for maintenance from 7am Thursday 5 December until 5pm Thursday 12 December.
The bridge will be closed for one (1) week while the FM team remediate the bridge treads, as recommended by external engineers engaged to provide an engineering report on all bridges on the Ilam Campus.
Affected Buildings:
SS01 – SS04 Recreation Centre Buildings
GS50 – K1 and UC Printery
GS51 – UC Warehouse
Pedestrians wanting to access the Recreation Centre during this outage will need to use the footbridge leading to the Health Centre and then follow the path past the Health Centre to Kirkwood Ave. Walk along Kirkwood Ave toward Creyke Road, and turn into the Printery, Warehouse, and Recreation Centre which will be on your left (see inset map).
Please Follow all signage in place, any instruction from contactors on site and DO NOT enter any fenced off areas to cross the bridge.
