It’s not always easy to know when, or how to ask for help. Many students’ experiences stress, self-doubt, or personal challenges, and it can feel isolating. But you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate everything by yourself.
Asking for help takes courage and reaching out is a sign of strength. UC offers a wide range of support services because no one is expected to have it all figured out. Exploring the support page on the university website is a great way to see what’s available. If you’re unsure where to begin, Student Care is a welcoming first step.
Feeling nervous about reaching out? That’s completely normal. You can start by chatting with the Wellbeing Navigators, trained students who run wellbeing activations in the Living Room. They can help guide you toward the support that fits your needs.
If you need to speak to someone urgently, Student Care has a duty advisor available to help. In an emergency, please contact UC security.
We really value hearing from our student community so we asked some students to share some messages with us which we have popped below
