Jack Mann Crane Works and Access Restriction tomorrow 17 October

There will be a planned closure of the north entry into the Jack Mann building between 7am and 12 noon tomorrow Thursday 21 October. Contractors, working on the roof replacement for the Jack Mann (ED10) building, will be using a crane to lift the roof truss scaffold to the top of the building.

Please be aware of heavy machinery and crane movement on site.
Signage will be in place for duration of the closure directing staff and students to the south entrance doors.

Extension to Temporary Access Closure Psychology and Sociology Corridor Level 1 to Monday 21 October.

Please note*
The temporary access closure for the corridor and rooms 112, 113, 115 and 116 in level 1 of the Psychology and Sociology building has been extended until Monday 21 October to allow for completion of works.
Facilities Management are completing preparation works for the planned refurbishment of rooms 115 and 116.  Initial works are expected to be completed by Friday 11 October with some waste removal from the area on Saturday 5

 October and Saturday 12 October.

Access Restriction- Ōtākaro and Henry Field Library Pathway Monday 14 October

There will be a partial closure of the pathway between Henry Field Library, Kotuku and Ōtākaro for three days from 7:00 am Monday 14 October until 5:00pm Wednesday 16 October.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All other accessways to the buildings remain open as usual. Refer to inset maps.

This is part of the roof replacement works currently in progress Tūpono -Ōtākaro Tree Trimming and Roof Replacement.

Ōtākaro Building Access.

Please note the following key information for building users:

  • The Ōtākaro building will remain open to staff and students until October 26.
  • The construction team will completely stand down, with no contractor presence in the building:
    • Wednesday 15 October from 8.30am-12.30pm – during exams.
    • October 21 from 1:30 PM – UC Council meeting.
  • The computer labs  on  Level 2 will remain accessible for staff and students until October 26 (after study week).
  • Staff will be relocated from Ōtākaro from 26 October for the duration of the roof replacement works.
