Te Pokapū Pūkenga Ako | Academic Skills Centre workshops

As Semester Two draws to a close and with exams nearly here, Te Pokapū Pūkenga Ako | Academic Skills Centre (ASC) can help you! Located on the second floor of Te Puna Mātauraka o Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | Central library, they’re a free advisory service and resource hub focused on helping you with your writing and study strategies.

Take advantage of the free ASC workshops over the next few weeks, available for all new and current undergraduates, honours and postgraduate students.

You’ll learn more about:  

  • PACE225: Workplace Skills and Corporate Social Responsibility
    A campus-based course held in Semester each year and worth 15 points
     
  • PACE335: EU Diplomacy and Policy Engagement
    Summer school course focusing on EU and their role in NZ/Pacific. Includes a trip to Wellington to meet EU Embassy Officials (no cost to you for flights and accommodation)!
  • PACE Internship Courses
    Available at 200-, 300-, and 400-level working with industry partners around NZ to develop your employability skills.
    Past students have completed internships with organisations like Christchurch City Council, NZ Police, SVA and more!

Enrolments now open for Summer School

Want to get ahead in your studies? Enrolments are now open for UC’s November 2022 Summer School courses. Summer courses starting in January 2023 will open for enrolment from 1 October 2022.

Summer study is a great way to shorten the time it takes to complete your degree, retake a course you failed during the year, spread out your workload or pick up a prerequisite course.
