Locky Docks have arrived on campus!

Locky Docks are the newest way to securely lock and charge your bike on campus.

Locky Docks are free and easy-to-use. Anyone can access them, whether you’re a UC staff, student or visitor.

In front of the University Bookshop you can now lock and unlock your bike, e-bike or e-scooter by using the Bikeep app. Go and check it out!

Download the free app from:

Both the app and the Dock contain instructions for how to lock and unlock. You’ll still need to bring your own charger.

Locky Docks can be found at spots all around Aotearoa. Check out the growing network we’re now part of in Ōtautahi Christchurch here.

Looking for somewhere else to lock and charge on campus? Wall-charging points are also available in the C Block, Engineering and History/Law secure bike sheds for charging electric bikes and scooters.

Currently, 18% of UC staff and students cycle to UC. The UC Sustainability Plan 2022-2030 sets an organisational cycling commuting target of 20% by 2030.

Providing secure e-bike charging is just one of the ways UC is encouraging more staff and students to choose to bike to UC. Learn more in the new UC Cycle Plan 2022 – 2030.
