This research area focuses on educational policy and social issues around the integration of digital technology within education. Includes critical issues around wellness, ethics, citizenship, and equity. Research includes:

  • the digital practices of youth from early childhood through to primary, secondary and in the tertiary context.  
  • issues around the effects of digital technology on learning for youth including digital distraction and developing wellbeing. 
  • how organisations eg schools and universities are dealing with issues like digital safety and responsibility or open educational practices.
