Acoustic Testing – Karl Popper Building, Tuesday 14 October

Facilities Management advises that acoustic testing will take place on Tuesday, 14 October, between 5:30pm and 6:30pm across Levels 1 to 4 of the Karl Popper building.

This testing is essential to assess wall soundproofing and ensure the building meets noise insulation standards.

What to expect:

  • Loud noise will be generated in one room and measured in adjacent rooms.
  • Elevated noise levels may be noticeable, similar to a live band playing.
  • Noise will mostly be heard when entering or exiting testing areas.

How you can help:

  • Minimise loud activities (e.g. loud talking, power tools) near testing areas.
  • Avoid unnecessary movement and noise during the testing period.
  • Follow any instructions from the testing team or staff on site.
