As the holiday season approaches, the UC Facilities Management Fire Safety Manager reminds all staff, students, and tenants of the importance of maintaining tidy, clutter-free workspaces.

Excessive clutter increases fire risk—especially when fewer people are on campus. Please take time for an end-of-year clean-out by removing unused items and unnecessary materials.

A clean workspace not only supports fire safety but also sets us up for a fresh start for 2026.

Please speak to your manager or Head of Department in the first instance if you have any concerns or assistance requirements.
