The Facilities Management (FM) Science Road / Erskine Carpark safety improvements and upgrades are progressing on schedule.
Current Works
- A significant portion of the carpark will reopen for public use on Monday 15 December. Line-marking will be completed in the new year.
- Science Road will return to usual 2-way traffic Monday 15 December.
Pedestrian Access
- The existing 11-year-old temporary pedestrian walkway will be closed until the new shared pedestrian/cycle path is completed in the new year.
- Site fencing will enclose the work area. Pedestrians will need to use paths along the southern boundary of the carpark and Science Road.
Next Focus
- Works will shift to the new curb and channel alignment along the length of the FM building.
What You Need to Do
- Observe entry/exit signage for open carparks.
- Expect construction noise during the day.
- Use alternative parking areas: Arts, Māori Study Centre, UCSA, and Dovedale Campus carparks.
