Facilities Management advise that there will be a total Water Outage to all floors in the West Building, (SC02) between 8am and 12pm on Thursday 18 December to allow contractors to undertake required maintenance on the switchboard that controls the main water pumps for the West building.

This means that there will be a total water outage for four (4) hours while the switchboard works are completed.

Affected Building:

(SC02) West

Please note that in addition to toilets and kitchens, Lab Eyewash stations and Drench showers will be offline for the full duration of the outage.

What do you need to do?

• Use alternative toilets and kitchen facilities during the four (4) hour shutdown.

Toilets: Ernest Rutherford – Level 1 near Café.

Jack Erskine – Level 0 West end of building.

• Do not turn on any taps in the building. If you do, please turn off immediately to avoid flooding when the water is turned back on.

• Ensure that any Lab equipment requiring water is managed accordingly.
