Fire Curtain Works Meremere Foyer 28 July – 1 August

Fire Curtain replacement works will be in progress in the North Entrance foyer of the Meremere building between 7.30am Monday 28 July and 4.30pm Friday 1 August.

FM Contractor, Argus Fire, will be working with the FM Building Team, in the area adjacent to the cleaner’s cupboard, to install a temporary wall to enable maintenance on the fire curtain located in that area. Once works are complete the ceiling will be refitted, and the temporary wall removed (refer to inset plan).

Please take care when you are moving around the Meremere foyer, and do not enter the works area or go behind the temporary wall.

Temporary Pathway Closure for GSHP Works

Site hoarding and temporary fencing will be in place around the Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP)Plant Room between 8am Monday 28 July and 5pm Friday 12 August to allow electrical supply works to be completed to the GSHP Plant Room.

Temporary fencing will be in place across the pathway between the Plant Room and the Ernest Rutherford building and this pathway will be closed during the works period.

Please use alternative access routes during the works and remain alert for contractor vehicle movement in and around the site.

Do not enter the works area, behind the temporary fencing or inside any coned or taped off areas.

Building Condition Survey & Floor Plan Verification Schedule – Thursday 24 July to Friday 1 August.

The Facilities Management Building Surveyors will be completing Building Floor Plan Inspections and Building Condition Assessments between 8.30am Thursday 24 July and 4.30pm Friday 1 August in the following buildings:

  • LA01 – Meremere
  • AS01 – Puaka-James Hight

building floor plan verification is when we complete a visual inspection of all rooms to verify, and record, any differences in the viewed floor layout against current plans that the University hold on file.

To complete the building condition assessment Surveyors will record the condition of the building and may take photos to support these records. They will ensure that persons are not identifiable in any photographs.

To complete these assessments the Building Surveyors will be accessing all spaces within an area or building, so please allow access – they will be very quiet!
