Facilities Management Building Surveyors will be completing external roof surveys of the West Building (SC02) between Monday 22nd and Friday the 26th of September.

If you see staff on the roof of the West Building at that time it is likely that they will be the surveyors, who will be following all working at heights safety protocol.   If you are at all concerned, please contact UC Security tel:0800823637.

Surveyors will ensure that any photographs taken during the assessment are of the building and that persons are not identifiable in the photographs.

Facilities Management

Facilities Management advise that the corridor linking the Collective Café and the Education Students Association building toilets (SS40) will be closed between 8:00am Tuesday 23 September and 5:00pm Thursday 25 September for flooring installation.

Due to these works the toilets located off the corridor will be unavailable. Signage will redirect users to alternative facilities in the Wheki building.

Café staff will retain access to the kitchen, and the student common room and pool room will remain accessible.

Facilities Management

Facilities Management will be undertaking planned inspections affecting the lift in the Macmillan Brown Library between 8.30am and 11.30 am tomorrow Wednesday 17 September.

To complete these required inspections technicians will be working in and around the lifts, and signage will be in place indicating that these investigations are in progress.

If you need to change floors or enter or exit the building during the inspections, we would appreciate you using the stairs where possible.  If you are unable to use the stairs, please speak to the technicians on site who will make the lift available to you.  Follow usual evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency.
