Paving remediation works are currently underway in the forecourt area in front of the Meremere building. Contractors will be working between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily, with expected completion by 16 October.

Contractors will work on small sections at a time, with each area fenced off during active work. The courtyard will remain accessible, unless otherwise advised, and noise levels from equipment are expected to be minimal.

• AR08 – Ann Ballin

Please do not enter any fenced off areas and be mindful of contractors and equipment in the vicinity.

Facilities Management

The Facilities Management Surveyors will be completing Building Floor Plan Verification Inspections between 8.30am Monday 18 August and 4.30pm Friday 22 August in the following buildings:

• (AR04) North Arts Lecture Theatre
• (AR05) South Arts Lecture Theatre
• (GS&&) Central Lecture Theatres
• (AR11) Alice Candy
• (EN08 ) Engineering & physical Sciences Library entrance
• The Engineering bike shed will also be inspected.

The purpose of verifying the building floor plans is to conduct a visual inspection of the premises and identify any discrepancies compared to the plans currently held by the University. To do this the FM Building Surveyors will be accessing all spaces within an area or building. They will be very quiet and only access lectures theatres if they are vacant.

Facilities Management Surveyors will be conducting visual condition assessments of all footbridges across both Ilam and Dovedale Campuses between Thursday 14 August and Thursday 11 September.

Cyclists and pedestrians should remain alert for surveyors, who may be focused on their inspections, on or near the footbridges during this inspection period.

We will ensure that individuals are not identifiable in any photographs taken.
