Complete Water Outage to Jack Erskine Thursday 17 April

There will be a complete water outage for the Jack Erskine Building between 0730 am and 1130 am on Thursday 17 April while Facilities Management contractors complete repairs to a leak in the backflow associated with the water feed to the building.

During the water shutdown please use toilets in other buildings and make alternative arrangements for tearoom access or supplies.

Do not turn on any taps in the building. if you do, please turn off immediately to avoid flooding when the water is turned back on.

Facilities Management

After Hours Closure Arts Road Forestry Road Intersection 16 April

There will be a temporary afterhours road closure at the intersection of Arts Road and Forestry Road between 4.30pm and 8pm on Wednesday 16 April.

Contractors will be using a knuckleboom to complete concrete works on the higher elevations of the north face of the Psychology Sociology Block (refer to inset site map). While works are being undertaken outside normal working hours you may need to make some alterations to your usual exit route as you leave work on Wednesday.

See below for key access information:

  • Exit and access for the Putaiao Koiora (SC22) and Rehua (CO01) carpark can be made via Forestry Road to Creyke Road. Creyke Road exit is left turn only.
  • Exit and access to Psychology -Sociology (AR12) Carpark can still be made via Arts Road.
  • Access to the Law Carpark can be made via University Drive.

Please do not enter any coned off work areas. Follow all signage and intersection closure access and exit information and be aware of the heavy machinery operating from the intersection.

Building Condition Surveys Ernest Rutherford; Puaka James Hight 15-17 April

Building Condition Surveys will be completed between 9am Tuesday 15 April and 4.30pm Thursday 17 April on the following Buildings:

  •  SC24 – Ernest Rutherford (excluding P1 & P2 labs)
  • AS01 – Puaka James Hight

The purpose of the UC Building surveys is to complete a full visual assessment of the condition of the interior and exterior of the building.

Surveyors will ensure that any photographs taken during the assessment are of the building and that persons are not identifiable in the photographs.

 Your support in ensuring that spaces are tidy and open for inspection will be appreciated.
