Come and get your stuff fixed!

Our next repair cafe is back, and this time proudly part of the Repair Festival Aotearoa🛠🧵

Bring along your broken items to Te Rua Makerspace (Level 2, Puaka-James Hight Library) between 11am – 1pm on Wednesday 18 September, and our amazing volunteers will be able to help perform free repairs such as:
🌟 Darning, hand sewing and glueing
🌟 General clothing and textile repair
🌟 Jewellery repair
🌟 Shoe repair including glueing, stitching, sole fixing, eyelet repair and replacement
🌟 Industrial sewing for more heavy duty items, like canvas or bag repair
🌟 Leather stitching and leather hole punching
🌟 Eye glass repair
🌟 Iron on patching for clothing like denim and waterproof/puffa jackets
🌟 No electronic repairs (sorry).
If you have repair skills and would like to be involved as a volunteer, or have any questions about the event, please email chloe.sutton@canterbury.ac.nz.
This event is proudly part of the Repair Festival Aotearoa, which is running from 14 – 22 September 2024. This week-long celebration will be held across the country, bringing communities together to celebrate fixing, mending, and extending the life of our belongings.
