Cable works- Civil-Mech Level 1 (EN18)

FM contractor Evotek will be installing ceiling cables on Level 1 of the Civil-Mech Building, including Rooms 113, 109, Labs 112/112 and both lift lobbies, between 8am Wed 12 November and 4.30pm Thu 13 November

Affected Building

EN-18 – Civil-Mech Level 1

Please remain alert for contractors working on ladders and follow all signage and instructions and avoid coned-off work areas.

Urgent Water Main Repair – Special Purposes Lab (EN22)

Facilities Management Contractors will be carrying out essential water main repairs beneath the deck of the Special Purposes Laboratory (EN22) on Tuesday 11 November, between 8:00am and 4:30pm.

What to Expect:

  • A section of the deck will be coned off and inaccessible during the works.
  • Please stay alert to contractor activity and follow all posted signage.
  • For your safety, do not enter the coned-off area or cross into the work zone.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these repairs are completed.

Unplanned Lift Outage Lift #68 Chemical and Process Engineering Wing

Facilities Management advise that Lift #68 in the Chemical and Process Engineering Wing (EN06) is currently out of service due to an unplanned outage.

Contractors are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, however the lift may be out of service until next week.

What do you need to do?

  • If you need to use a lift to enter or leave the building use an alternative lift – Lifts #31 & #39 in Civil Mech (EN18); lift #69 in Rata (EN01) or lift #28 in Link remain operational (refer to inset map plan).
  • Use the stairs.
  • Please follow usual evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency.
