Follow-Up Floor Plan Inspections Arts Precinct 6–10 October

Following initial inspections on 1 October, Facilities Management Building Surveyors will return to the Fine Arts buildings between Monday 6 October and Friday 10 October to complete floor plan verification inspections.

Surveyors will visually inspect all rooms to confirm that the current layout matches the University’s recorded floor plans.

Affected Buildings:

FA01 – Fine Arts 1 & 1a

FA02 – Fine Arts 2

FA03 – Fine Arts 3

FA04 – Fine Arts 2a Toilets

FA05 – Fine Arts 4

What to Expect:

  • Surveyors will access all spaces
  • Quiet visual inspections only

Access Restrictions- Dovedale Community Gardens and Glasshouse 6 – 7 October

Access restrictions will be in place for the Dovedale Community Gardens and Glasshouse from 7:00 AM Monday 6 October to 5:00 PM Tuesday 7 October.

This is to allow for the safe removal of non-friable asbestos by a Licensed Asbestos Removalist in line with WorkSafe guidelines. This is low risk work and should only take two (2) days to complete.

Access Restrictions

•            GS44 will be closed during the works.

•            Access to the Community Garden and Glasshouse may be      limited.

•            Please do not enter the building or any restricted or fenced-off areas during this time

Once asbestos removal is complete, the FM Building team will begin refurbishment works on GS44.

Fluctuations to Tupuanuku Heating and Cooling Monday 6 October

Contractors will be working on the BMS (heating) control system for the Tupuārangi Student Accommodation from 7:30am to 5:00pm on Monday 6 October.

Impact:

the heating in Tupuānuku Accommodation will be manually controlled during this time. No full outage is expected, but minor temperature fluctuations may occur.

What to do:

  • Be aware of the works and possible temperature changes.
  • Dress for the weather.
  • Consider using unaffected campus areas like the library or cafés.
