Other important information

  • People who lived in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland or France for a total period of six months or more between 1980 and 1996 are now able to donate blood or plasma in New Zealand – if they’re in good health and meet our donor eligibility criteria.
  • Find if you are able to donate after travelling out of New Zealand
  • Please remember to eat & drink plenty beforehand – a good-sized meal and drink at least 1.5 litres of water.
  • Please bring your photo ID or donor card. The donor card can be accessed via the NZ Blood Service donor app if you an existing donor. Photo ID is your driver’s licence, passport, etc.

Waitaha Nursing Research Showcase

Are you interested in nursing research? Wanting some professional development?  

The inaugural Waitaha Nursing Research Showcase is coming up next week!  

This year’s theme is: Looking ahead: Where have we been, and where are we going? The showcase will capture nurses’ research from the Canterbury health system – primary, secondary and tertiary care. 

Event Details: 

When: 29th July-2nd August 2024, an hour each day, between 1200-1300hrs. 

Where: Attend in person at Manawa (276 Antigua Street) or via Zoom.  

Who: This event is open to all health professionals interested in nursing research. 

By attending this event, you can earn professional development hours via healthLearn!

Join us at the UCSA Winter Wellness Expo!

After a busy few weeks of major events, it’s time to relax and enjoy the benefits of being a university student. The UCSA’s Advocacy and Welfare team is excited to host the Winter Wellness Expo, where you’ll find plenty of freebies to take home, along with a free BBQ!
