The Clothes Swap is back for 2023!

Get a new ‘fit that your wallet (and the planet) will love. This Friday 26 May, bring along some good quality, clean clothes that you no longer want, and take home some groovy new threads for free!

The Clothes Swap will be happening in Te Rua Makerspace (Level 2, Puaka James-Hight Library) from 11am – 1pm on Friday 26 May.

To participate in the swap, please bring along up to one bag of clothing per person (max 10 items). Clothes must be in clean, pre-loved condition. Shoes and accessories are also welcome.

Clothing can be dropped off from 10am, with the swap starting at 11am.

All welcome. UC Sustainability, OpSoc and Te Rua Makerspace can’t wait to see you there for some slow fashion fun!

Did you know UC has an organic community garden?

Come and check it out! Te Ngaki o Waiutuutu (Waiutuutu Community Garden) is having an open day on Friday 3rd March from 12pm – 2pm.

We’ll be firing up the rocket oven to make some yummy pizzas – bring a friend and we’ll see you there!

When: Friday 3 March, 12pm – 2pm

Where: Waiutuutu Community Garden – find us off Engineering Road. Follow the stream path towards Ilam Fields.

This is a great opportunity to explore and learn about the garden, meet some like-minded people, see how you can get involved, and be the first to learn about our upcoming workshops.

Following the event, please feel free to stay on and join in on our weekly garden working bee, which runs every Friday until 5pm.
