GET VACCINATIONS SORTED AT THE UCSA SUMMER STARTER EXPO

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who got their vaccinations at Health New Zealand I Te Whatu Ora drop-in clinic during Herea tō Waka | Welcome Day!

Missed out? No worries! You still have a chance to get protected at the drop-in clinic at the UCSA Summer Starter Expo.

🗓 Thursday 27 February
📍 Bentleys, Haere-roa (above the Foundry)
10 AM – 2 PM

Students can receive the following vaccinations, FREE:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • HPV (human papillomavirus)
  • Meningococcal MenB and ACWY vaccine (which prevents Meningitis, usually approximately $135)

Eligibility criteria may apply

If you missed out and you’re keen to get your Meningococcal, MMR and HPV vaccinations – here’s what you need to know.

Before getting vaccinated, check your records via My Health Record or ask your GP to see if you need any of these immunisations.

Please make sure that you have an NHI number. You can find out more information about this process here.

Water Shutdown – Psychology/Sociology, Jane Soons, Ann Ballin, and Jack Erskine Sunday 23 February.

There will be a complete water outage for the Psychology and Sociology, Jane Soons, Ann Ballin and the Jack Erskine buildings between 8am and 4pm on Sunday 23 February while external contractors undertake repairs and maintenance on backflow devices within the buildings.

This will mean that there is a total water shutdown for up to four hours, in the listed buildings, and affecting all toilets and tearooms. during the specified times below:

8am -12 Midday

(AR12) Psychology and Sociology

(AR08) Anne Ballin

(AR06) Jane Soons

Alternative toilets can be found in Mere Mere (LA01).

12 Midday- 4pm

(SC21) Jack Erskine

Alternative toilets can be found in the West building (SC02).

Do not turn on any taps in the building. if you do, please turn off immediately to avoid flooding when the water is turned back on and make alternative arrangements if you have water dependant equipment in one of the affected buildings.
