Cooling Pond Maintenance – Puaka-James Hight Building

Facilities Management contractors will be cleaning the pond beside and beneath the steps of the Puaka-James Hight building from 7:00 AM Saturday 9 August to 5:00 PM Sunday 10 August.

The pond is part of the building’s air conditioning system and does not contain fish. Contractors will use water blasting and suction equipment to remove moss and algae, helping ensure the system runs efficiently during the summer.

Seating areas near the pond will be temporarily closed, and hoses and piping will be laid out in the vicinity throughout the cleaning process. The equipment being used will be noisy and there will be truck movement through the courtyard and pond area.

Please ensure that you follow all safety and access closure signage in place.

Thank you for your patience while this essential maintenance is carried out.
