It’s time to talk about Waste!

Did you know that in 2021, we sent an average of 700kgs of waste to landfill, per person? That’s the weight of seven refrigerators! 🤯 Let’s try and change that!

Here at UC we are proud of our commitment to reducing the waste that we produce. Our Waste Plan 2022- 2030 main focus is to divert waste from landfill and reduce contamination of our waste streams. But how can you help? In May we are kicking off our Waste Education campaign here on campus. We all know that reducing your waste can be tough and sometimes confusing, so for the first few weeks of May there will be a range of events, activities and learning opportunities all on the topic of waste. How awesome is that?

Keep an eye out on this page and our social channels for the latest updates and information.
