The UC Library team is once again running the Visualise Your Thesis programme!

What is VYT?

Submit a 60-second audio-visual presentation that explains your research project to a general audience and be in to win cash prizes!
What are the prizes?

  • 1st prize – NZ$1000 (& entry into the international Visualise Your Thesis programme)
  • 2nd prize – NZ$500
  • 3rd prize – NZ$250
  • People’s Choice Award – NZ$250

This is a chance to hone in on your digital communications skills, with the support from the UC library team. Learning to explain your thesis to clearly and concisely!

Even further to that…we have an information lunch for them to pop their head in and learn more about the competition – no strings attached!

This lunch is a chance to come and meet the UC Library team and previous VYT competition winners. A free pizza lunch will be provided while we:

  • Hear from previous competition winners.
  • Present a brief rundown of the programme guidelines.
  • And share some tips and tricks for creating your submission.
  • Have some time to talk one-on-one with us and ask any questions you want.
  • As well as network with your post-graduate peers!

You can register here for the lunch, which will be on Wednesday 8th May 2024, 12.30-1.30pm in Ernest Rutherford 141.
